10/10 would recommend! I had been looking for a new dentist and am thankful that I found Dr. Akinwande and her team. Everyone was very friendly, nice, and thorough. And when I say everyone, I mean everyone. - The receptionist, Nicole, was so sweet even from our first interaction in calling to make my initial appointment. - When my dental hygienist (I can't remember her name) could tell during the fillings I was nervous, she calmly rubbed my hand and shoulder. I really appreciated that especially for someone who has some dental anxiety. - Dr. Akinwande was also very thorough and gentle with my cleanings. Patient care is very important to me and I am thankful that Open Smiles Dental prioritizes that as well. Again, I would highly recommend.

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new dentist. Open Smiles was able to get me an appointment the week of my call so that I could stay on schedule with my cleanings. The staff were all very friendly, and Dr. Akinwande, was very pleasant. She was thorough yet gentle with my cleaning. My mouth felt super clean after my visit. I don’t typically post reviews, but I was truly impressed. The Open Smiles team was wonderful from beginning to end. If I miss any names, my apologies. Dr. Akinwande is personable and attentive to my needs, and it appears to translate into her care for all her patients. She anticipated my wishes and performed with skill and professionalism. Nicole offered a warm welcome and followed up from the first phone call through check-out.

I had a front tooth implant placed in this office with Dr. Akinwande and the process was absolutely seamless. I can smile a full smile again. No pain no discomfort. The office takes amazing care of you checking on you after hours and even on weekends and holidays. I am very pleased with the outcome and highly recommend open smiles dental but especially Dr. Akinwande for all of your dental needs. She even does same day whitening and it makes your smile up to four shades whiter in just one visit. She is extremely personable and will check on you even after the procedures have been done days later to make sure you're comfortable. I would highly recommend coming in to see her if you have any issues.

Dr. Akinwande was recommended to us by our children's orthodontist, and I’m so glad he did! One of my daughters needed specialized dental work, and after our first visit to Dr. A at Open Smiles Dental in Waldorf, Maryland, we were amazed. Not only is Dr. A incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but we also learned that she does it all—from routine cleanings to more complex procedures. Her expertise and thoroughness impressed us so much that I decided to move my other daughters over to her practice, and I’m now a patient as well. Even my husband will be switching to Dr. A for his dental care! The front desk staff is always pleasant, and Shelly truly goes above and beyond. She’s been so helpful in getting us scheduled and even offered to pick one of my girls up to ensure she made an early appointment! I was particularly impressed when they came in early before office hours to fix my daughter’s tooth before she had to leave for college in North Carolina. Their dedication to patient care is unmatched. Plus, the office is not only cute and clean but also up to date with modern equipment, which really adds to the comfort and convenience of every visit. If you're looking for a dentist who truly cares about your family’s dental health, Dr. A is the one to see. We couldn’t be more thrilled with our decision!
