I am delighted to update my review of Precision Smiles. I was always happy with the work and the personal attention of the dentist Dr. Michael Israel, I was just upset with the handling of the finances. Dr. Israel is that rare doctor that is caring, professional and talented, and has taken steps to resolve my concerns. Thank you Dr. Israel and thank you for making my mouth whole again. The dental work was done very well at Precision Smiles but their billing practices are unacceptable. Before I made the appointment I asked if they accepted my insurance and was told yes. No mention was made of being out of network only that the cost I would be responsible for would be determined by the insurance company. This is a normal practice to which I agreed. After the service I was informed they were out of network and asked to pay the full amount due. I declined and requested that they wait to be paid by the insurance company and I would pay the co-pay. When they submitted the claim they made an error in code which will cost me an additional $150. I am appealing that charge and suggesting they communicate insurance information more clearly to patients and submit correct codes to insurance companies. Barbara from Hackensack
