This dentist is a fraud. Will steal your money then damage your teeth. He committed to fixing my teeth then when I started complaining about the immense amount of pain I was in he dropped me MID TREATMENT I had to scramble to find another dentist and it turned out the pain I was in was because the tooth he crowned needed a root canal!! Your a horrible person and I hope you lose your practice.

it’s been almost one year since I’ve had my teeth done, my review hasn’t changed and this man should LOSE HIS PRACTICE, my teeth are in worse shape now then they were before him. My insurance won’t allow me new crowns because they are only covered once every 5 years, so I have to pay 100% out of pocket to have a new dentist fix this awful man’s work. Save your teeth and money and go somewhere else. I will be filling a complaint against this office. Original post: THIS DENTIST IS A FRAUD. This office is negligent in the care of their patients. Save you money and your oral Heath. I paid this office nearly $3000 to correct/care for some crowns and fillings. The first couple were good porcelain fused to metal crowns. However when it came to pulling my wisdom tooth I was awake for the entire procedure crying in pain and he just kept saying “your doing good” “almost done” and then broke half the tooth my my month and sent me home. Never when back to fix or remove the rest of it. THIS ISNT EVEN THE WORST PART. When I went in again to get the next crown done unlike the other I had done by him I was in an extreme amount of pain for the two weeks I had the temporary crown on, his office basically did nothing and kept saying “it’s normal to feel some pain” but I explained it wasn’t like the last two crowns I had done by him a month prior. It felt like I got shot in the month, I went in a few times and he just said “once you get the permanent crown, the pain should go away” fast forward to the day my permanent crown came in, I’m in a lot of pain and I’m expressing this to him and he goes “what you think you need a root canal” - me not being a dentist I said “I don’t know your the dentist you tell me” and he just continues to place the crown. The pain only got worse from here and his office got more disrespectful, I ended up going back to his office again because the pain was so bad and he wouldn’t even look at the tooth, he just told me to go find and endo, and refused to be helpful. He then dropped me as a patient mid treatment and IN PAIN. Fast forward, I ended up needing a root canal that should have been done before that crown was placed. This is the most negligence I’ve ever experienced with a dental office. This could’ve been avoided. Had he listen to me, but he did not care, and because of this, the brand new crown that I had placed that was tooth colored is ruined, because they had to drill into it to CORRECT this office is negligence. and since it was a porcelain fuse to metal I now have a metal spot showing on my tooth which completely defeated the purpose of getting a crown in the first place. Do not go to this doctor if you value your oral health. And even worse I can’t get a new crown to replace this because this dentist refuse to refund the crown they messed up on through insurance. You don’t deserve any stars, Dr. Avakian, you are the worst dentist I have ever met.

Dr. Avakian and staff are top notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Dr. Avakian and his staff go over and beyond to make sure all dental work is perfect and makes sure his patients are satisfied before leaving his office. I'm a long time patient and will not go anywhere else.
