Dr. Choi is very precise and skilled and his entire team is friendly and accommodating! Implants that usually take weeks to recover only took a couple days here. Best Dental group I've been to hands down!

the place is nice but they say the consultation is free but they charged me for it and claiming i met doctor last year but last year was different issue!

MALPRACTICE!!!!! I started a toothache on the night of August 25th, 2020 I thought of calling Smile by Design to have it at least seen. However, I realized that it was already too late and their office was already closed. So I decided to call in the next morning. Wednesday, August 26th, first thing in the morning I called but unfortunately their office is closed on Wednesdays according to the recorded message. I then went online to at least make an emergency appointment with them. So they called me back on Thursday, morning saying that the earliest time that they could see me is “tomorrow”, Friday, August 28th. They then advised me to take some Advil at least to alleviate the pain. So I went to their office on Friday, Aug. 28th, and Dr. Choi’s assistant directed me right away to the dentist's seat. Dr. Choi, told me that since I am not ready financially to get an implant (which he’s been trying to sell me for more than a year now), he would just do a “partial root canal”. Having that severe pain, I could think further anymore and all I wanted was to get my pain out. So then he injected some local anesthesia to make me numb and continue on to the partial root canal procedure. A couple of hours later, I just got home and still feeling numb on my cheek but I already feel more pain. I called him (Dr. Choi) right away to complain. I knew it was going to be really bad because I feel pain inside my mouth already and I am supposed to be still numb. Dr. Choi REFUSED to believe me because the numbing should last up to about 4 or 5 hours. He just gave me a prescription for a stronger pain reliever and instructed me to call him on Monday if I still have pains. It didn’t take that long as on that night, I was already in severe pain – tried calling him SEVERAL TIMES BUT HE NEVER PICKED UP!!!!! No sleep for me due to severe pain. Saturday morning, it is visible already that there is some swelling in my face and luckily, he finally spoke to him when I called in the morning – around 8 AM. I LITERALLY BEGGED HIM to give me some antibiotics for the infection. So he called the local Walgreens and told them that I am going to pick up some Penicillin as soon as they open at 10 AM. Despite the antibiotics, my face continued to be swollen through Sunday and I ballooned to almost half of my face. By Monday, my wife and I decided to go to Hoag Urgent Care, hoping to get some stronger antibiotics. But when the doctor saw me and heard my story, she immediately told me to RUN to the emergency because it is badly swollen – This time it grew even further that I could feel it on the other side of my face. She also added that if that continued, it could close my airway and therefore would not be able to breathe. That’s the reason she wanted me to head to the emergency. I had to stay in Hoag Hospital for 6 days! Had to go to 2 surgeries, 1 is to extract the bad tooth and 2nd is to drain the pus. The doctor said that my DENTIST SHOULD HAVE NOT performed that “partial root canal” because I was in pain. He should have given me the antibiotics first until the infection is gone. The problem was when he drilled into my tooth, the infection went in! One more thing – The doctor said that I did not even need to have the implant. Remember, he decided to “SAVE” the tooth because I am not ready financially for the implant. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!!! He just going to sell you an implant even if you don’t really need it. I am considering suing this dentist for malpractice!

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Choi. He provided me with two implants and two crowns. Everything went smoothly with minimal pain. Dr. Choi is a great dentist and his staff is very friendly and professional.

I had a great experience today getting my teeth cleaned. I usually have to have my lower right region numbed due to pain from a crown but Jay was so gentle, I didn't need it today. Wow what a relief. I would highly recommend this office. Dr. Choi is very thorough and uses the latest technology in his practice

Beware of this dentist office! Would not recommend coming here by any means. This company not only stole my insurance money, they tried to cover it up when presented with the facts from my insurance deductible. Not only this, Dr Chous dental work is horrible. I had a crown replaced and it was not put on correctly and I am still in discomfort due to poor work quality and not caring for his patients but only caring about his pocket book. Customer service here is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere. Do not trust your teeth to this doctor or company.

Dr. Choi was very thorough and knowledgeable and pointed out my dental issues/problems and explained the treatment plan in detail to alleviate my problems. The dental assistant and his staff were very friendly, cordial and capable. I highly recommend him and his group.
