This is the most comprehensive initial oral exam I’ve ever had. While I pride myself on being 65 years of age with all my natural teeth - including wisdoms - I must admit to being a bit embarrassed at seeing the flaws reflected on the screens generated by the pictures the assistant/hygienist took during the almost 45-minute process (which I’m also embarrassed for complaining about). In the end, though, it proved worthwhile, as during the next 45 to 60 minutes, Dr. Kolade Akinwande took great care flossing, cleaning and polishing my teeth (the reason for this visit), and then explained what the pictures on the computer showed, as well as what I needed to do to maintain good dental hygiene. In the end, from Nicole, with whom I scheduled the appointment, to the assistant/hygienist (apologies for forgetting her name), to Dr. A., everyone at Open Smiles Dental, is absolutely awesome. Office is clean and staff is very kind! Dr. A is amazing at making you feel comfortable and explaining everything to you. Shelly was amazing at helping with my insurance issues and even checking on me until everything was squared away! Even though the office is an hour away from me I will never go anywhere else!
