DISAPPOINTED & DISGUSTED!!!! Today, I returned to Flatbush Dental and I requested to speak with the doctor about receiving a crown. I was told that the approval was sent to the insurance a year ago. He came in and went off on me raucously. ‘He went on about my insurance being horrible and he shouldn’t even be taking my insurance. Dental places shouldn’t be taking my insurance but he still is at a cost that doesn’t benefit him. He is not a sales marketing rep for the insurance and has nothing to do with insurance and he doesn’t do the paperwork. I need to make life easier on his staff and take accountability. He should not be taking my insurance because it is horrible (repeating it because that’s the amount of times he told me my insurance was bad for the entire floor to hear). His facility is understaffed and overworked and patients like me need to do their part. His staff does not have the time to call every patient with an update. I need to call everyday and ask about the approval.’ Then he tried to play it off talking about my dental care. It was NEVER conveyed to me that I needed to reach out to the front desk EVERYDAY about the approval. I have never had to do such at a facility before. He was the only one that told me a year ago that they were still awaiting approval from my insurance. I am aware that the doctor does not do paperwork. The only reason I have this insurance is because I am under my parent. Last year I found FD in search of a facility that could remove my wisdom teeth. I had the procedure with no complications and was very happy with the service. I bragged about how comfortable Dr A made me feel about my concerns. This was not the case today. Dr. A’s response to my inquiry about a dental crown today was very disgusting. How are you in a poor neighborhood but judging people’s insurance when they try to receive care? HOW? WHY? No wonder there’s such a health disparity. Your mission is serving the human being first yet you practice health inequity. I’m not just speaking up for myself, I’m speaking up for people who can’t afford better insurance. A lot of people can’t afford insurance period, most people get insurance through their jobs. Is this the kind of embarrassment people are subjected to when they attempt to receive care with what they can afford? I am highly disappointed. SHAME ON YOU Dr Arthur. This is not what medicine is about.

This Dentist is amazing and capable of doing his work. I love the way he takes care patients, and he is straightforward about his work. Otherwise, right or wrong not afraid saying what he has to say about cleaning or eating sugar. God Bless you Dear dentist like you are needed in this country.

This place was excellent! I brought my 11 y/o son to this location for multiple teeth extraction. This was his first ever procedure. He was not visibly nervous, however, staff did an excellent job at calming any nervousness that may exist and normalizing the procedure by informing of every step and allowing us to ask questions. From the moment we entered, Lashie at the front desk was welcoming and attentive. Our appt time was for 9am and we were called in to be seen 20 minutes of our arrival. Dr. Arthur was amazing...down to earth, friendly, relatable and knowledgeable. During the procedure, he allowed me to get close enough to see inside of my son's mouth to ease my discomfort. He encouraged me to come closer and look as he said "there's no secrets in my office". He explained every step and every effort made to ensure the least disruptive recovery. A 3D CT scan was needed prior to the procedure, which was able to be done at the office. They explained the costs and the purpose/need ofbthe scan. Dr. Arthur was able to use the 3D effects of the scan in real time to ensure more precision during the procedure. This was amazing to watch. The assistants Evie and Karina were also very helpful. Evie was down to earth and easy to speak with and took her time to explain the post procedure care. Evie and Dr. Arthur really took their time to talk with us and make sure we were not just patients, but real humans first. I felt that they kept in mind the idea of treat other the way you wish to be treated, especially with a minor involved. This was truly a 5 star experience!
