If you're reading this review it's probably because you're looking for a new dentist and you want someone who's kind, with a sense of humor, and isn't going to tell you that you have imaginary cavities so they can bill you crazy amounts of money. Dr. Akinwande is that dentist so just call and book your appointment ok!! I literally live in a different state now, but I will always come back to Maryland to see her.

So my experience with Dr. Akinwande has been a long journey. Her exceptional care has been stellar and I wouldn't have made it through without her empathy. She guided me through my extractions, bridges, Invisalign for the absolute perfectly aligned smile and eliminated my alignment and over crowding. She got my teeth four shades whiter in the same day. She stood by my side through everything over a few years. Her bed side manner is what made me stay with her even when I was ready to quit. I appreciate her more than she will ever know and highly recommend her for all of your dental needs. She is strict in her oral hygiene recommendations but she will make sure you are taking care of your teeth as you should. The front desk matches Dr. Akinwandes stellar professionalism and genuine care. You cannot go wrong with Open Smiles Dental. And will be honest with you all along the way!

My husband visited a few Dentists in the area and didn't have a great experience until he visited Open Smiles. He stated they booked his appointment right away, were very pleasant, made sure he understood the procedure that was being done and efficient. He had a very positive experience and said they will be his Dental care team from now on.

I had an excellent experience here. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Just when I thought great customer service was a thing of the past, this place proved me wrong. I called in for an emergency appointment around 1:00 p.m. and was seen by 3:40 p.m.—truly impressive. The receptionist, Nicole, has such a warm, pleasant voice and an equally delightful personality. The dentist was friendly and kind, providing me with excellent dental care and even sharing some helpful and gratefully appreciated hair tips. Overall, it was a fantastic visit from start to finish. I’ll definitely be a new client.

The atmosphere is amazing. Friendly staff, knowledgeable professionals, and overall just a great staff. The receptionist is familiar with medical billing and the different health insurance processes. This is a modern dental office, I was very impressed with the 3D interactive x-rays, the musical playlist throughout the office, and the videos on the tv screens. If you are near the Waldorf area, I would most definitely would recommend Open Smiles Dental.
