This was one of the best experiences I've had at any dentist office I've been too. Normally I try to avoid dentist but I've found my new home here.

Very amazing and welcoming staff. Very kid friendly and made my daughter comfortable during her visit. I highly recommend this dentist. Dr. Sly and her staff are amazing

The ambiance & dentist are incredibly nice. Unfortunately, when I went in for a routine visit I was told I had 5 cavities. This seemed odd, since I go for a cleaning every 6 months, and I was unaware of any potential issues. This rubbed me the wrong way, since I know there are many practices around town (& the nation) that are incredibly liberal with their determination of a "cavity" and what needs to be immediately treated. That being said, I voiced my concern and was told that two of them were urgent while the other three they could watch (I was only told this after I disclosed my discomfort with their findings). Long story short, I have since gotten a second opinion with a local dentist (just got back today) and I have no cavities in their professional opinion that need to be treated. I wish I could give this business a raving review, but as you can see none of the facts that I just disclosed can support that. Edit 9/26/19 (Went to a dentist in Greenville, South Carolina today) Today I went to get my teeth cleaned at a place called Progrin Dental in Greenville, South Carolina (the above office I went to was located in Memorial City - Houston, TX), similar to the Memorial City dentist zero issues were identified at my cleaning today. No fillings needed to be retreated. I understand that dentistry is a practice but now two other reputable dentists have looked at my teeth and the results do not match Dr. Sly's findings. Edit 9/23/20. Today I went to a cleaning at Koyfman Dental in Orlando, FL. I had not gotten a cleaning done since my 9/26/19 cleaning (see above), since my semi annual cleaning fell during quarantine, and I felt uncomfortable about going. With all of that said, I had NO cavities at my cleaning today. I did have 2 areas that were being watched, but NO CAVITIES. I'm still shocked by everything that happened to me when I visited Dr. Sly's office during the fall of 2018, and felt that I needed to share that yet again a THIRD DENTIST (totally different area geographically in the United States) has confirmed that I do not have any cavities.

Dr. Sly and her whole team are courteous and professional. They do everything possible to make sure that your visit is as comfortable as possible, which I greatly appreciate! I can tell that she and her team genuinely care. I could not be more pleased with Hermann Park Smiles!

Dr. Sheral Sly is pleasant and engaging. Answers questions and explained my regiment for my teeth well. Lovely office and clean! Staff are friendly to. Just wish they would get my name right..lol😕

I absolutely loved Dr.Sly. She checked on everything & even took the time to explain to me what’s happening. Even what is wonderful about her that she is sincere. Another dentist that I have experienced would suggest unnecessary odd recommendations and procedures to get more money out of my pockets... Dr.Sly was far from that, and she only performed on my teeth what she thought was clinically needed. Her professional friendly personality & excellent staff ( Erik thank you for teaching me the correct ways to take care of my pearls) is why I will be more than super happy to go back again

After waiting for about half an hour after my scheduled appointment time, the assistant finally called me in to perform a pre-service evaluation. I explained I only needed a dental cleaning but she said it was necessary to perform some X-rays prior to the service, so they did. When the doctor came to see me, she informed me the assistant would come and explain the evaluation results and final cost. I was told by the assistant that, based on the X-rays, they had to do some additional and very expensive procedures. I explained again I only came for a dental cleaning and would have the other issues taken care of later on. The assistant went to consult with the doctor and, after a long while and with no further explanation, she asked me to leave. The doctor never showed up to explain the situation to me or to communicate their decision of not performing the cleaning service. They charged me the full amount of the cleaning and only performed unrequested imaging. I absolutely do not recommend this place. I lost two hours in this unpleasant experience, and left without having my teeth cleaned. The staff were impolite and the doctor showed to be uncaring towards her patients. Definitely avoid this practice!
